The clinic

A professional and lovely family clinic.

Jing Zen is run by Dr Jing Zeng, an AHPRA registered Chinese medicine practitioner, alongside his sister Juan, who looks after the remedial massage, reflexology, hot stones and cupping. Between them they cover most of what traditional Chinese medicine has to offer, under one roof.

They have been in the industry in Australia since 2007, and ran successful Chinese medicine clinics in Tasmania from 2013 to 2022 before setting up here. The clinic is small and busy, and patients tend to stay with it for years.

Treatments

What we treat with.

Treatments are chosen around the person, not the price list. Most patients end up with some combination of the below, worked out at the first appointment.

Acupuncture

Body, ear and head acupuncture. At ZEN, acupuncture is only ever provided by a registered acupuncturist.

Chinese herbal medicine

Formulas made up from a large in-house dispensary, often the same day. Prescribed by a qualified Chinese herbalist.

Remedial massage

Deep, thorough remedial work from Juan, who has a reputation for finding every knot that needs attention.

Reflexology

Pressure point work through the feet, used alongside massage and acupuncture as part of a wider treatment plan.

Hot stone therapy

Warm stones used to settle tight muscle and help the body relax before deeper remedial work.

Cupping

Traditional cupping for sore and pulled muscle, tension and circulation, either on its own or with acupuncture.

Fees are discussed when you book, and depend on the treatment. Give the clinic a call and Jing will talk you through what is likely to help.

A few of them, word for word.

I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Dr Jing. From the very first appointment, I felt genuinely listened to, cared for and supported. He takes the time to understand the bigger picture, explains things clearly, and has such a calm and caring approach. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he also makes you feel comfortable and understood — which is so rare to find. I have seen such a positive difference since being under his care and I'm so grateful. And I also have to mention his sister's massages — for such a tiny little lady, wow can she find every knot and muscle that needs attention 😂 She absolutely knows how to pummel muscles in the best possible way. I always walk out feeling like a new person. If you are looking for genuine, caring practitioners who truly know what they're doing, I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thank you again for everything you do!

Jing and Juan are amazing at what they do! They are a professional busy clinic (busy because they are excellent at what they do and so are in high demand) but always do well to accommodate an appointment at short notice, or make up herbs on the same day. Juan is a top rate Chinese medicine masseuse and an all round beautiful gentle person. Jing has years of knowledge in acupuncture, cupping, and Chinese herbs plus more. They always return calls and texts within the hour. Very highly recommend these two highly skilled people.

Family run and owned business that genuinely cares for its clients health and well-being. I live with chronic pain and strongly believe without their specialised skills and consistency i would have a significantly decreased quality of life. Highly recommend 💗

Always a warm welcoming and friendly environment to walk into. Both myself and my husband receive massages, acupuncture and herbal medicine from here. The best massage that I have received and extremely helpful and knowledgeable with herbal medicine. My husband suffered from a stroke in May last year and he started getting acupuncture from here in January, I have seen major improvements in him from more movement and improved speech and cognitive thinking. I would highly recommend coming here.

Found this little gem recently and have been to have a massage with Juan (brilliant!) and acupuncture with Jing (amazing!). They operate out of a home clinic and use authentic Chinese methods to fix all sorts of ailments, from sore and pulled muscles, headaches and pain, to digestive issues and improving general wellness. Prices are very reasonable and you can claim health care rebates immediately and easily. Both are friendly, honest and refreshingly frank and down to earth. Just skilled practitioners who know what they're doing and don't beat around the bush. I've now taken my mum to see Jing to see if he can assist with her Parkinson's symptoms and low energy levels. We'll be regulars from now on :)
